Dimensions
The Edwin Barrel Sauna measures 72" wide, 84" deep, and 76" tall, including the supporting cradles.
It comfortably seats 6–8 people, with room for up to four people on each bench.
Care & Maintenance
Western Red Cedar is naturally durable and requires very little maintenance. After each session, allow the sauna to cool completely, then wipe down the benches and interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed.
Keep the interior well ventilated and allow the wood to dry fully between uses to help prevent excess moisture buildup. Avoid using harsh chemicals, pressure washers, or abrasive cleaners on the cedar.
For outdoor installations, use the cedar bevel roof kit and regularly clear away leaves, snow, and standing water. Periodically inspect the wood, heater, stones, electrical connections, and exterior hardware, and follow the heater manufacturer’s safety and maintenance instructions.

How hot does it get?
Depending on your heater selection, the ranges will be from 140°F – 230°F.
How long does it take to heat up?
Depending on geographic location, seasonality, and the location of your sauna heating times will differ, but expect 30 minutes to an hour on colder months.
Is this a steam or dry sauna?
Both. Your heater will naturally give off dry heat, however, with a bucket and ladel you can enjoy steam.
Where can I put my sauna?
Set it on a flat, level, load-bearing surface such as a concrete slab, pavers on compacted gravel, or a deck rated for hot-tub-level loads. Avoid bare soil and spots that collect water.
- Outdoors: Great on patios, pads, or decks. Keep it out of sprinkler spray and standing water. In rainy/snowy climates, place under eaves or add a roof kit to reduce weathering.
- Indoors: Choose a room with a water-resistant floor (sealed concrete or tile). A floor drain is nice-to-have but not required. Provide basic ventilation (window or bath fan) to handle humidity and protect nearby finishes. Keep the unit slightly away from walls.
How long does assembly take and how many people do I need?
Plan on 3–4 hours with at least three people; at least one should be comfortable with basic carpentry.
Do I need an electrician?
Yes. All heater power supply and hookup must be done by a licensed electrician. We highly recommend having your hookup done PRIOR to your sauna arriving.
